After a loooong holiday break of eating fudge, reading books, playing hide and seek with my niece, and cuddling with my husband on the sofa watching late-night movies, I’m back on the blog! Finally. And what a way to make my reappearance – with Becky and Andrew’s GORGEOUS winter wedding!
Becky and Andrew were married right after the new year, on January 2nd, at the historic Truro Church in Fairfax, Virginia. The chapel, the ceremony, and the light were all beautiful! The couple (and their obliging bridal party) braved the 30 degree temperatures and strong winds in order to get some outdoor portraits. It was FREEZING, let me tell you, but Andrew and Becky faked like it was warm and donned their black and white peacoats a few times in order to survive :)
The reception took place at the charming Mount Vernon Inn, next door to the historic estate where Becky and Andrew did their engagement pictures. I was impressed by the newleywed’s dancing skills (wow!) and the touching toasts by the Best Man and Maid of Honor, Andrew’s Dad and Becky’s sister. All in all, it was a beautiful, beautiful wedding and I know that Becky and Andrew were ecstatic to finally be married after a long engagement. They are a super cute couple and I thank them for giving me a great start to my 2010 season. Congratulations, Becky & Andrew!
