I loved everything about Casey and Joey’s romantic, rustic and relaxed wedding at Merriweather Manor. First of all, the newlyweds picked a fantastic venue. After visiting Merriweather the week before the wedding, I could not wait for their big day to arrive. The Georgian colonial house sits atop 400 acres of rolling hills with spectacular views of a vineyard, historic barns, a pond, and a dilapidated old truck (which I loved, of course). And on top of all that, Casey and Joey filled their day with cute details that were unique to them such as the three colorful jeeps (owned and driven by Joey, his twin brother, and cousin) which got us around the expansive grounds and served as a home base for the guys when they hit a few golf balls before the ceremony, the buried bourbon that Joey had to dig up at the start of the day, the cute sign that encouraged guests to sit on either side of the aisle for the ceremony, the personalized pillows that made the seating area extra comfy and welcoming during cocktail hour, and the hanging white lights which illuminated the wild dance party after the sun set. This wedding was just plain awesome. It was a relaxed and gorgeous event that I was jealous to not be attending myself, although I had the second best option – I got to photograph it all. And what a gorgeous event it was. Congratulations, Casey & Joey!

While the ladies got ready, Joey and the guys dug up some bourbon. And then they were able to enjoy some of it. :)

Did I mention how pretty this wedding was!? Artemas and I were a little wide-eyed as we set off to photograph all of the fantastic details.

The light was AMAZING! It was very hard to stop photographing the adorable newlyweds and head back to the reception. It took a lot of restraint on my part. :)
