It was a joy to photograph Colleen & Andrew’s wedding because they are such a sweet, laid-back and humble pair. As far as I can tell, they strongly dislike being the center of attention and they just wanted to sink in to the background, get married, and enjoy the afternoon with their awesome families and friends. I loved that about them. I also loved their amazing wedding party (what a great group of people!) and their affectionate, happy families. The entire group was so sweet, happy and joyful – and I would even say pretty quiet and calm – until that is, the music got turned up. Whoa. The second the dance floor opened, the party got CRAZY. There is nothing I love more than dance enthusiasts, and this group was overflowing with ’em, especially tiny little Colleen who hit the dance floor in 0.2 seconds along with her wild brother and fabulous sister. It was a solid dance party until the moment Wale and I left, and let me tell you, it was hard to part ways with such a fun, wild group without joining them on the dance floor ourselves. :)
The newlyweds just returned home from a wonderful Hawaii honeymoon today, so I’m hoping this blog post helps ease them back in to reality. Welcome home, Colleen & Andrew, and congratulations!!
