Jen & Pablo’s Newlywed Session

Unfortunately for me, I did not get to photograph Jen and Pablo’s wedding since it was out of town in Jen’s home state of Pennsylvania.  I was, however, lucky enough to do their local engagement session last fall with their adorable English Bulldog, Franklin.  So when Jen and Pablo got home from the wedding and recovered from the festivities, they decided they wanted to enjoy the wedding day high just a little bit longer by taking more portraits.  Fortunately, they called me and we had a blast spending the afternoon in DC.  These two are fantastic to photograph.  Not only are they affectionate, super in love, and easy to get along with, they have great style.  I mean, Pablo wore a polka dot green bowtie for crying out loud, and Jen rocked some sexy purple heels and her bow-in-the-back gown.  This was a fun, fun afternoon for me.  I now need to convince all of my clients that they want to do a newlywed session.  So. Much. Fun.

These first few photos were taken in Bartholdi Park of the U.S. Botanic Gardens. It is now, hands down, my favorite spot in DC.

Cutest couple ever, right? I know.

Then we went to the lovely and always quiet District of Columbia War Memorial. This is another great spot in the city.

Love the bowtie and jewelry! So fabulous.

And then we ended with a few quick photos at the Lincoln Memorial as the sun set.

Ahhh what a great day in the city. Congrats, Jen & Pablo!
