Miss Lily turned one on March 14th and all of her family and friends gathered to celebrate the happy occasion last Saturday. Lily was as happy as can be – as were her adoring parents – and the party was a huge success. After a year documenting Lily and her older sister, Ella, it was wonderful to be there on such a happy, sugar-filled day. Lily is absolutely precious.
The thoughtful and fabulous decorations put together by Lily’s mom, Jerri Lynn:
Have you ever seen such a fabulous birthday cake!?
And here is the wonderful birthday girl, Lily, more inclined to play with her shoes than to wear them. :)
Lily greeted her guests as they arrived, including an immediately beloved stuffed lion (which she is seeing for the first time on the left).
Lily's mom, Jerri Lynn, watches as her daughter hugs her new stuffed lion. :)
And while all of that went on upstairs, the big kids colored downstairs.
That's Lily's big sister, Ella, on the left.
After a little more time spent greeting guests...
... it was time for CAKE!!
Lily's parents and sister enjoy the mess she's making. :)
Ah. It was kind of hard for me to watch Jerri Lynn cut in to that gorgeous birthday cake.
The cake AND cookies were a big hit with the older kids.
One happy birthday girl:
This one cracks me up. :)
This little girl was adorable...
And I'm fortunate enough to know this gorgeous party guest, Alice, because I documented her over the past year as well.
After cake and cookies, gift insanity ensued:
Jerri Lynn was wise to let the older kids help with opening the gifts...
This is one of Lily's proud grandmothers on the right:
And here are a few family portraits we took before the party and before the cake messiness. Happy Birthday, Lily!
