Payal and James were married on a gorgeous and sunny day on the patio at Celebrations at the Bay, overlooking the Chesapeake. Payal and James went through the historic rituals of the Hindu wedding ceremony, which dates back to the Vedic period (3500-5000 BC). One of the most poignant moments of the ceremony is when the couple takes seven steps (Saptapadi) together, which represent seven eloquent vows, such as nourishing one another and being sincere, faithful, and true friends for life. After the emotional nuptials, guests relaxed and enjoyed cocktails overlooking the Bay, and then partied the night away inside the tent. The reception included funny toasts, a hysterical slideshow, dance presentations, and some seriously enthusiastic dance moves. It was a packed and awesome dance floor and a remarkable wedding day. Congratulations, Payal & James, and welcome home from your honeymoon in Turkey!!
