Earlier this month I got to spend a morning with my stepsister, Ronaly, and her three wild and wonderful kids, Emma, Ethan, and Eric, at Clemyjontri Park in McLean. We raced, hopscotched, rode the carousel, walked on balance beams, and every once in a while, I tried to take some photos. Yep, these are my nieces and nephews. They are adorable, energetic, and full of personality. They make me laugh and they definitely wear me out, but mostly they make me super proud. Check out how CUTE they are.
I left my camera in the car for the first part of the morning, but after a snack of carrots and cheese sticks, I asked if I could do a few quick portraits of them individually. Each one responded in his or her own way. This is the smart and lovely Emma…

This is the only photo I got of the three of them in which Eric is NOT sticking out his tongue. I’ll take it.

Emma got pretty somber after giving up a zebra on the carousel to a younger kid. She moped her way through the ride and the rest of the morning. The boys’ reaction to the carousel ride was a little different than their big sister’s. :)

Clearly, my attempts to cheer Emma up weren’t really working. She’s unbelievably cute, though, even when moping around, so I kept on shooting.

If you haven’t been to Clemyjontri Park yet, stop what you’re doing and take your kids/nieces/nephews right now. That place is kid heaven.
