There were so many things I loved about this wedding. First of all, Shaun and Peter are sooo in love and just delighted to be around one another. Every time Peter sees Shaun he breaks out in to a huge smile, and he even got a little teary-eyed when she walked down the aisle. For their ceremony music, they used a local high school string group, which played great songs like Bohemian Rhapsody leading up to the big event. And the newleywed’s recessional song was Viva la Vida by Coldplay. What a great wedding!

I had never photographed at The Washington Club before, but wow, it is a beautiful venue! It is a historic mansion, right in the heart of Dupont Circle, complete with stunning rooms, hidden doorways, and beautiful staircases! I know that Shaun and Peter were disappointed we couldn’t do portraits in the Circle because of the downpour outside, but I thought the club’s interior was perfect for cozy, rained-in portraits. :)
