I lovvvve the little tidbits that I learn about a couple during their wedding, especially what is revealed during the toasts. In Ansley + Nick’s case, I learned the adorable story of how Nick asked out his future bride (thank you, Kaitlin!). While they were in class together at Notre Dame, Nick asked to borrow Ansley’s textbook despite her teasing protests that “no one uses the textbooks anymore.” When Nick returned the book to Ansley, she found a charming letter that was reminiscent of a classroom kid’s note, reading “Would you like to date?” with boxes for “Yes”, “Maybe”and “No”. How adorable is that!?!? Clearly, it all worked out for Nick who thought his classmate’s “natural beauty was distracting.” I love his gumption, and I love that I got to photograph this pair’s lovely wedding. Ansley + Nick are such nice, sincere people – as are their families and friend – and their wedding was amaaazing from start to finish. And speaking of the finish, Ansley’s sister rapped her toast to an Eminem song, and it KILLED. Also, it turns out that everyone at Ansley + Nick’s, including the newlyweds, is an awesome and enthusiastic dancer. I love these people. Congratulations, Ansley + Nick!
