I love the dynamic between Anu + Matt. She is expressive, enthusiastic and empathetic while Matt has a calm wisdom along with a dry sense of humor. They share a lot of knowing glances and sweet smiles, which was commented on by their good friend and officiant during the ceremony. To know Anu and Matt is to know that they share their own special world, that they are a perfect match for one another, and that they are completely in love – and have been for a long, long time. They first became friends in a high school robotics club and then began dating just a few short years later. Their relationship survived several years of living apart (sometime countries apart!) but they always had the confidence they would be together. They were in no rush, and when it was time to plan their wedding, they did it in their own delightful and unique way, which included a robot ringbearer (as an ode to how they met). It’s hard not to love these two. They’re delightful people and they are the perfect match. I’m just delighted they invited me along to photograph their special two-part ceremony and celebration.
