Catherine + Max at The State Theatre

Timmester Photography_State Theatre-001 Catherine + Max are a couple after my own heart. They laugh a LOT, they don’t take themselves too seriously, and they understand that life is meant to be sopped up and enjoyed! Their wedding day reflected this mentality, and it was a fun and relaxed celebration from start to finish. They set the tone with loads of bright color, kilts (!), a bagpiper, an amazing live band, and a super cool reception venue: The State Theatre in Falls Church (four minutes from my house! what!?). Catherine + Max met at The Legwarmers show, an 80s cover band that performs regularly at The State Theatre. Max approached his future wife on the dancefloor, they obviously hit it off, and after an amazing first date, Max texted his best friend, Rashid, and wrote something to the effect of “…she is awesome – smart, thoughtful, beautiful – and she’s totally in to me… annnnnd completely out of my league.” How cute is that? I love these two. They were meant to find one another at that 80s dance party, and I’m so happy that I got to photograph them in all of their cuteness. Congrats, Catherine + Max!!
