Melissa and Brian are one of the most affectionate couples I’ve ever photographed. Their love and appreciation for one another is palpable. When I told Brian that it’s rare to see couples as affectionate as them, he told me that he and Melissa had both lived through some bad relationships. Those experiences led them to utterly appreciate how lucky they are now. They adore what they have together and I can’t imagine them ever taking it for granted. They were beaming all day long, but I thought they were particularly cute when they proudly introduced their guests to “my husband” and” my wife” throughout the reception.
There were so many amazing aspects of Melissa and Brian’s wedding day, especially the duet they sang during their ceremony! Instead of listing them all here, however, I will share one of the touching readings from their wedding, the Apache Marriage Blessing:
Now you will feel no rain,
For each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now you will feel no cold,
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no more loneliness,
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two bodies,
But there is only one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place,
To enter into the days of your togetherness.
And may your days be good and long upon the earth.
